crafts to do with feathers...?

I found a heron feather yesterday, and this is very important to me because I believe in spirit guides and the heron is one of mine. Anyhow, can anyone suggest a nice craft to do with it? I was thinking something along the lines of native american wrapped feathers but I don't know how to do that and I'm open to just about anything.

skin wrapped feather will last.

Your going to need a piece of tanned leather, preferably elk skin.

Wrap the feather and cut it a little tiny bit thinner, soak the skin for about an hour and stitch it together around the quill while it's still wet. and keep it wet until your done stitching it.
you can leave the tail LONG and cut it into a fringe.

I have dance feathers like this, oddly enough two of them are Blue Heron.
The bottom half of my bustle is Blue Heron.
