Scissor Lift

working in a warehouse, can a scissor lift, be operated with the platform raised, and travel the full length of ?
or does it have to be lowered and then raied again periodically
Not knowing just what you are getting at with"the full length" the answer is yes. We use them all the time to install wiring and lights in warehouses, factories, stores, ect. But I would like to know the "full length of ?" I am assuming you mean the length the warehouse. As for lowering, if the surface is solid and smooth, and most of all, level, such as a concrete floor, NO, you only need to lower it for lunch, (only if you didn't bring it up with you) and/or best at quiting time. If equipped with outriggers, just raise them an inch or two off the floor for safety and go. I once used one in a 3/4 mile long tunnel for installing overhead lighting in a conveyor tunnel. But here again, I think you should adhere to your company's policy, or consult your safety mgrs.
