* magazines cost of production per-exemplar : entertainment magz= $ 0.17 and real estate magz= $ 0.25
* total company budget : $ 4000
* warehouse storage capacity: 18000 exemplars / month
circulation of each magazine must be maintained at least 8000 exemplars
maximum profit ?

e =number of copies of entertainment magazine.
r =number of copies of real estate magazine.

then total profit= 0.5(e) + 0.75(r) which is to be maximum .....(i)

total cost incurred= 0.17(e) + 0.25(r) <=4000. ......(ii)

total warehouse capacity=18000=e+r ......(iii)

and e>=8000
r>=8000 .....(iv)

let E=e-8000;
and R=r-8000;

Therefore.
To bring it in standard form
equation
(i) 0.5(E+8000) + 0.75(R+8000) is maximum
so
0.5(E) + 0.75(R) + 10000 is maximum

i.e 0.5(E) + 0.75(R) is maximum

0.17(E+8000) + 0.25(R+8000) <=4000;
i.e 0.17(E) + 0.25(R) +1360+2000 <=4000;

i.e 0.17(E) + 0.25(R) <= 640
i.e 17E + 25R<=64000

e+r=(E+8000) + (R+8000)<=18000;
E+R<=2000;

e<=8000
E+8000>=8000
E>0

Similarly
R>0

So..
1) E,R>=0
2) E+R<=2000
3) 17E + 25R<=64000
4) 0.5(E) + 0.75(R) is maximum
